Victoria Falls — Mosi-oa-Tunya in the local Tonga language, meaning 'The Smoke That Thunders' — straddles the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. With a width of 1,708 metres and a drop of 108 metres, it is considered the world's largest sheet of falling water.
